Why did they choose a Stanley stove? "We wanted a stove that would give the illusion of an open fire and aesthetically the Cara Insert gave us the look of that traditional open fireplace. Fergus in Firstclass Fireplaces was very helpful and guided us through the process. We needed an outside air model stove and were struggling to find an insert model that worked with outside air. Luckily the Cara Insert comes in an outside air model which is what we have installed"

What do they love about the Cara Insert? " The Cara Insert suits the traditional style of our living room and fireplace. Open fires are wasteful of energy and impact negatively on the energy rating. As our home was a new build we were advised that open fires were a no-no."

So have you noticed a change in your home heating bills? "We only installed the stove around April so we haven't had much need to light it. It's been handy when some nights are colder when we can just light the stove and it heats up the room. We have geothermal heating so can take up to 24 hours to heat up once turned on"
