Jack Butler and Shelly O'Brien based in north Cork have been cooking on the Novy Easy Extraction Hob for almost 6 months. ‘With the shape of the kitchen, we didn’t have the wall space to put in a normal extractor hood. We wanted the hob with extraction to work in the Island and with house building regulations we needed it to be approved’
‘We were afraid we would notice smells in the kitchen but we’ve had nothing like that. The steam and smells get extracted down to the base of the island plinth. When it comes out you can feel cool air on your feet and no smells. Admittedly there are cheaper models out there but we wanted an extraction hob with high spec that wouldn’t leave smells in the room.’
What do the love about the Novy Easy? ‘We love the sleekness of it. When its off its just black, no rings show up. We mentioned no smells and we love the speed of it. Had gas previously and we loved that it was so fast. The Induction hob is a fast as gas with the benefit of not having to buy and house a gas cylinder. Also its very quiet and has up to 9 levels of extraction, ‘
What features do you love about your Novy Hob? The layout is very sociable when we have friends and family over. People can sit down at the island and talk to you while you are cooking on the hob. We’ve cooked several dinners for friends and family and it’s great to be able to interact while cooking. ’
