Range of Fuels

Waterford Stanley offer a comprehensive range of fuels across stoves and fires. Click on the links below to access the different fuel types under our heating product finder.

  • Pellet Stoves  - Burning pellets produces far less carbon emissions in comparison to other fuels thereby reducing your carbon footprint.
  • Wood Stoves and Fires -  Burning wood is better for the environment than burning coal.  The denser and drier the firewood, the better it will burn and the more heat it can produce.
  • Electric Fires - Electric fires installation is typically very easy. All you need is the wall space & a  socket.
  • Gas Stoves and Fires  - High efficiencies, low running costs, realistic flame, balanced flue which means you don’t need a chimney just an external wall are just some of the benefits of gas stoves and fires.
  • Solid Fuel Stoves - Our solid fuel stoves can burn anthracite, coal, smokeless fuel, seasoned peat briquettes and dried wood and come in cast iron and steel models.

Insert V Freestanding Stoves

Another decision when installing a stove or fire is do I want it freestanding or built in? Insert stoves are integrated stoves which are built into an opening which can be a standard fireplace or a bespoke opening. A freestanding stove sits on a hearth either against a wall or in a opening which is large enough to allow air movement around the stove.

  • Insert Stoves - If you have an existing fireplace and chimney, a fireplace insert is likely the best choice. The insert is installed inside the fireplace opening whereas a freestanding stove takes up additional space.
  • Freestanding Stoves  - Freestanding stoves tend to be bigger in size and take up more space in the room. They can be located on the existing hearth provided it's suitable for the size and weight of the stove.

Room Heating versus Central Heating

Waterford Stanley offer a comprehensive range of room heating and central heating stoves and fires under a range of brands namely Stanley, AGA, Rayburn and Bilberry.

  • Room Heating Fires & Stoves - If you want to simply heat the room where the stove or fire is, this is called a room heating stove. There are many reasons why people choose a room heating stoves or fire.
  • Central Heating Stoves - Central heating stoves are designed specifically to heat your hot water for radiators or in the case of Pellets underfloor heating.
